Good question. A booter is basically a small program that sends "bad packets' and is used to knock someone out of chat and possibly disconnect a messenger client, like Yahoo! Instant Messenger. A booter will not disconnect someone off the internet. There are various types of booters, some with multiple packet types. Others do just one thing, like disconnect messy. Some hit Java or Ytunnel. Some are single login and others use 2 or more bots*.

There is no single best booter. It is all a matter of personal preference and more possible what works best for you. No one can tell you what is the best booter, if someone tries then they are not being truthful with you. What is the best booter depends more on your system, what you are trying to do with the booter and more importantly what you are trying to hit. For instance if you are trying to hit someone on Java with a messy disconnect then NOTHING WILL HAPPEN. They won't go anywhere and you will think the program you are trying to use is worthless. When in fact you were using the wrong tool for the job. It's kinda like trying to use a hammer to screw in a bolt, it's just impossible.
The best way to determine what is best would probably be best stated as what works best for you. Download several programs at once, test them and determine on your own what works best for you. Something that works great for me might not even work on your system, due to a various number of factors. Some people can't use booter x because it doesn't work well with dialup while booter y works great for them. Some booters won't hit people on cable very well while others will smack the crap out of someone on cable. So like I said download a few test them out and see.
One good way of testing booters is try and boot yourself or ask a friend to let you boot them and see if anything happens.

A bot is a Yahoo! ID that you would use to log your Booters and other programs in. You need and ID Maker* to make bots or you need to go to Yahoo.com and make them. DO NOT USE YOUR YAHOO! ID TO LOG IN A BOOTER OR OTHER TOOL. BOTS GET BANNED OFTEN AND YOU DO RUN THE RISK OF GETTING YOUR YAHOO! ID BANNED IF YOU USE IT TO LOGIN A BOOTER. ALSO IF YOU USE YOUR YAHOO! ID TO LOGIN A BOOTER THEN YOU WILL BE LOGGED OUT OF MESSENGER OR WHATEVER CHAT CLIENT YOU ARE USING.

An ID Maker or Bot Maker is a program that will allow you to make many Yahoo! ID's quickly. It does this usually by using many Yahoo! Servers (some do use only one) Id makers that use multiple servers accomplish their work by simply switching sometimes automatically between servers and sometimes manually between servers to keep your IP from being banned. Notice if you have ever tried to make ID's at Yahoo's website after a certain number of ID's (5 or so im told lately) your IP gets banned and you have to wait several hours or in the case of people with dialup restart your internet connection to continue. Many ID makers allow you to make several hundred ID's without worrying about this problem.
In short an ID Maker is used to make bots for your Booters and Other programs that may need bots.
An account locker does just what the name implies, it temporarily locks someones account. It's just that simple put their ID in it and click lock or whatever. How it works is almost as simple. It simply tries to log in someones ID multiple times until it is "locked for security reasons".
Yes. If you are using YIM 6.0 it will give you a security code to unlock it. Just enter the code and your account will be unlocked. There are also several account unlockers available for download or you can simply go to Yahoo! and simply login and your account will automatically be unlocked.
Your account has been chat banned. More often then not this ban is permanant. Meaning all you can do is make another account. Not all bans are permanant some can last a few days or weeks. If you do excessive booting or bring too many bots into chat then you can end up being IP banned in this case none of your Yahoo ID's will login to Chat.
In some cases you may still be able to use Webchat or Java to go into chat.
A small program also known as a Password Changer. They can change the password (automatically) on 1 id or many at one time depending on the program. Simply put in the ID and current password and what you want the new password to be and start the program.
A Mic locker is a program that is used to lock the mic in chat or pm.
A program that is used to see if someone is online (or still online after you have booted them) some will even check to see if someone is online even if they are invisible.
This is a very simple problem to correct. Simply restart your internet connection and/or reboot your computer. If you are on dialup just disconnect or restart your connection. If you are on cable or DSL then restart your modem or router. This process will clear all the bad packets out of your own connection and you should be able to continue using booters. If not repeat the process again and reboot your computer as well.
♣ Booting For Newbies
Well if you are reading this then that means you are a lamer and probably tired of getting booted and want too boot the lamer(s) that is booting you; which makes you a lamer and them too. In this case the best action is defense!!!!!!! Right now the only real good defense is third party appreciations i.e. Ymlite and Yahelite are just a few examples. These aren't java based. The drawback with this applets is too be completely unbootable you can't talk on the mic or view cams, however I use messenger with y-tunnel, which is bootable but I use Ymlite and a secondary id in the same room so I can hear the mic and view cams! I have never got booted on my secondary id.
Now that you got the anti-booting down you can start booting lamers or I refer to them as wabs (weak ass bitches) off of yahoo. First thing to do is get the necessary files. They can all be obtained here on DarkYahoo under the needed files section of the downloads. After you download these item you need to extract or copy everything into your c:\Windows\System 32 folder. The easiest way too get there is Click on Start, Run, and type this the box c:\windows\system32 (c:\winnt\system32 for Win NT and Win2k).
Now the next thing to do is to find a booter that fits your needs there are a lot of booters out there and not every booter boots everything some only boot messenger, java, tunnel and etc… One may hit hard one hard and leave the other alone.
Now comes the boring part making bots for your booters, well u may ask what is a bot and a bot is this a yahoo id and password specify used to kick peoples asses off yahoo. Some booters will allow 10,000 while others only 1 bot. Most disconnect packet booters require the minimal amount of bots while others booters using bombs and blazes require more bots. I wouldn't recommend anything over 500 unless u do a shitload of booting. WTF between 1-200 for disconnector booters and around 500 bots for pm bomb bots. I know what you are thinking I don't have enough time to make 500 well there are kind people in the world, well mostly because lamers annoy the fuck out of them for bot names they were kind enough to make id creators. Some require proxies but, if you know how hard it is to find a good working proxy these days u will shy away from them. There are a few that work without proxies for you wabs that are reading this I recommend homicides id maker which uses your web browser as a way to make bots, however there is a catch 22, you can only make 150 bots using this method until you have to either get a new ip or use proxies through your web browser.
Now go test your booter on a website that has a lamers bin. Pick a lamer that has yellow smiley face next to there name and log in your bots enter the lamer that u have chosen and hit disconnect, kill, boot the fucker, blaze, or whatever you want.
There is a lot more too Yahoo! other then booting. I prefer locking accounts verse booting simpley because it last longer then booting. I only lock pervs accounts and really lamer lamers. Most people don't know how to unlock your account if you get it locked it is really really simple. The security notice comes up telling that your account has been locked for security reason just click on the link sign in using your id and password and it is like magic your account is unlocked.
♣ Booting Tutorial
To boot you need only 3 things. The first of which is obviously a booter. The second would be bots, the third would be all the additional support files.
Well start with the booter. For newbies I recommend any single login booter or bomber. It doesn’t matter the options or if it can hit tunnel or not you are just learning at this point. Learning to boot is like anything else, you don’t start with the hard stuff first. If you were learning to play guitar would you start by trying to play Stairway to Heaven, no of course not. I can speak from experience when you are learning to play guitar one of the first songs they teach you is Mary Had A Little Lamb. So the one bot booter will be our Mary Had A Little Lamb. So go search through the downloads section and find yourself a single bot login booter. I’ll wait! Once you have it downloaded unzip* the booter and put it in a folder called “booters” on your desktop. In case you haven't noticed you will need to make this folder on your desktop. As with windows they dont include a folder called booters hmmm I wonder why!! Make sure each booter resides in it’s own subfolder inside this main folder. You’ll understand why as you gain more experience and start using more complex booters.
OK now that you have your booter you are probably wondering what a bot is and how you get one. Both are simple, a bot is a Yahoo ID. Don’t try and use your Yahoo ID as a bot, you are risking it getting banned and your Yahoo ID can only be logged into one program or device at a time. In fact don’t use any Yahoo ID that you use for chatting if you intend on keeping it, bots get BANNED, allot.
Now that we know what a bot is, we need to make some. For this tutorial I am using Phycko ID Creator (I normally use Easy ID Creator). I am using this for the tutorial and recommend you use this or one similar to it until you get a better feel for making bots. Newbies shouldn’t be using ID creators (like Easy ID Creator) that require proxies (I won’t go into what a proxy is in this tutorial). Odds are if you can’t boot, you won’t be able to scan for working proxies either. So stick with something like the above mentioned ID Maker. Making a bot is like making any other Yahoo ID. Except you are using this strictly for booting purposes, therefore it won’t need an email addy. So you can uncheck that when creating your Bots. For those who are wondering, yes you can just go to yahoo.com and make bots. Although it is quite slow to make them that way and you are limited on the number you can make in any 24 hour period.
Now that you have created your bot(s) Always make more then you will need. If the booter calls for 1 then make 5, you’ll need em, trust me.
We’ll come back to the booter and the bots in a bit. There is a few other things you will need. The support files. There is a large collection of support files in the needed files section of DarkYahoo. The very first thing I would grab is Needed Files Pack it contains the majority of the support files you will need. After you download it unzip the package into a temporary folder and then copy the files you your windows/system32 folder for Win9x, WinME and WinXP, for Windows NT, Win2k and XP that has been upgraded from these you will place the files in your winnt/system32 folder. If it says that you already have this file then DO NOT OVERWRITE the file it is already registered for you.
You’ll notice that most if not all booters also come with support files. I recommend putting those into the system32 folder as well. There’s allot of reasons for this one of which is this if you download lets say 10 booters. That’s potentially 10 copies of mswinsck.ocx you downloaded along with the booters. Oh now you can leave them in the folder the booter is in and it will work just fine and waste about 10 megs (Mswinsck.ocx is about 1meg unzipped). of hard drive space and have 10 more Registry entries all of which have to be loaded into memory, slowing down your Computer. Or you can just put one copy of mswinsck.ocx into your system32 folder have less hard drive space wasted and only one registry entry that has to be loaded into memory. Most booters use the same support files so if you have 100 booters on your computer you could potentially waste gigabytes of space leaving the support files** in the same folder as the booter. The choice seems obvious to me. Hint: If you are using dialup you probably already have mswinsck.ocx
You’ll also need the VB Runtime Installer it’s an executable file and will automatically install the VB runtime files for you. Once you have completed putting all the files in the system32 folder I recommend you reboot your system so the files can be registered.
Now that we have all that covered lets go back to our booter, shall we? As I said earlier booting is easy. We got through all the hard stuff now we can have some fun. In order to boot you will need your booter (remember we are working with a single login booter) and one bot. Both of which you should have by now. Open your booter it might have a cool intro or not, doesn’t really matter. Some booters you might have to click login options. If so do that, if not just type in the name of your bot in the username box. In the password box type in the password and click login. The name of the person you want to boot goes in the last box, sometimes called victim, lamer or whatever the programmer called it. I don’t run tunnel and I just run messy 6.0 so I usually test the booters on myself first or if you have a friend who doesn’t mind helping you out go ahead and ASK them before booting. It tends to piss people off when you boot them without asking. If they went buh bye and you didn’t get any errors then congrats you successfully learned how to boot. See I told ya it wasn’t all that difficult.
